Waste Water Treatment Plant Pueblo Bonito Group, fulfilling the commitment of the Cabo San Lucas community where the majority of their projects are concentrated, built a Waste Water Treatment Plant in coordination with the Municipal Government in the “Miramar” development, treating a flow of 45 liters per second of waste water, approximately 28,449 people benefiting from this, avoiding 100% of ground and ocean contamination in the Pacific Ocean. The quality of the final recycled water meets all the ecological norms for the use in watering of green areas in their most strict aspects, as well as the applicable norms for its filtering in to the ground without causing any type of damage. The treatment that is applied to waste water consists in a pretreatment of sand removal in channels where all the solid waste is eliminated and also a sifting to eliminate trash. A biological treatment with activated muds in extended aeration of 16 hours of retention time is previously applied to the pretreatment for the elimination of organic material from the waste water. For the separation of waste water, the activated mud an activated sedimentation is applied with the help of a coagulator and finally a polish in sand filters and disinfection with sodium hypochlorite. The commitment of Pueblo Bonito Group through the Letty Coppel Foundation is vital in the preservation of the environment for the sustainable development of the Cabo San Lucas community, for which without hesitation, the best technology in treatment will continue to be implemented for the waste water and as a future Project, the plant will have an expansion in its capacity, a favorable result for approximately 39,010 people of this population sector.
